Is Elementor compatible with all themes?
No. Not all themes are compatible with Elementor. But there is a way to make Any theme compatible with Elementor. This is what I’m going to show you.
How to Make Any WordPress Theme Compatible With Elementor – Very Easy
Step – 1
Go to your WordPress dashboard -> Appearance ->Themes (and install any theme you like)
Step – 2
Add and activate the Elementor page builder from the Plugin depositary and check if that particular theme is compatible with Elementor or not. To check the compatibility follow the steps given below.
1.Here I’m using the default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty), “Assuming” it is not compatible with Elementor.
2.Now go to pages section -> All Pages
3.After that, you can either add a new page or just click on the edit button (Here, I’m using the about page)
4.If you have installed the Elementor, then you should also see the blue button “Edit With Elementor“.
5.The above message should appear or the Elementor page builder might open up but few sections might break or become uneditable. If any of them don’t occur while editing means Elementor is probably compatible with that specific theme.
Step – 3
But if that is not the case, then follow the steps given below. First of all, go to plugin depositary again. And Search for a plugin named ” Fullwidth Templates for Any Theme & Page builder” By Brainstorm Force.
Step – 4
Install and Activate Fullwidth Templates for Any Theme & Page builder -> Click Here to download.
Step – 5
Now open up the page that you want to edit (Again). Click on the edit (again). Now don’t click on the “Edit With Elementor” button yet.
Step – 6
Look for Page attributes. Now select either “Elementor Canvas or Elementor Full Width” (there are many options you can choose from, you can play with it later. )
Step – 7
Here I’m selecting Elementor Full Width, Now click on Publish or Update (In my case).
Step – 8
Just remember to change the page attributes (template to either Elementor Canvas or Elementor Full Width). Every theme should work fine as long as you have Fullwidth Templates for Any Theme & Page builder and selected the proper template.
Step – 9
Now you start editing without any broken section or uneditable area. This is how you can make Any theme compatible with Elementor. All it takes are one plugin (Elementor Canvas or Elementor Full Width) and right page template settings.
