1. How To Download Your Entire Media WordPress Media Library Using Cpanel or File Manager Plugin

Now you can download the Entire Media library from your Cpanel, but if you do want to login to your Cpanel just to export the media library, follow the step given below. 

So how to access the Cpanel from the WordPress dashboard?

To access the Cpanel from your WordPress dashboard, we need a use a plugin called File Manager or Advanced File Manager

First, install & activate any of those two file manager plugins, Here I’m using File Manager, you can the second one as well. Now go to the “WP file manager” tab as shown.

Once you are on the files page, look for the “wp-content” folder, and double-click on it.

Then go to the “uploads” folder, Uploads folder contains all media uploaded to the site. Most uploads are separated by years (e.g. 2020,2021,2022,etc.).

If you want to download uploads from a specific year, Right-click on the year folder and click on download. Here, I’m downloading my 2022 media folder, it will be downloaded as a zip.

2. How to Export Your Entire Media Library in WordPress With 1 Click 

Now, Here is the easy way to Export Your Entire Media Library as a zip in WordPress.We will use a free plugin called Export Media Library. You can export all the media files with just one click.

First, Install and activate the plugin (Export Media Library). Once you have installed the plugin, Go to the WordPress Dashboard > Media tab > Export.

you will find two dropdown menus 1. Folder Structure, 2. Compress

For Folder Structure, You have a Single folder with all files &

Nested folders, you can choose any of these two. 

If you select “Single folder with all files” – All the media will be exported as a zip in a single folder. And if you select Nested folders – All the media will be exported as nested folders.

2. For Compression: You can either enable the compression or keep it disabled. 

Now click on the Download Zip button, and your WordPress media will be downloaded as a zip.

You can use a backup plugin such as UpdraftPlus too. Updraftplus lets you export your media files easily.
